CC not showing up in mods folder but shows in game

Hi guys, I got a bit of a weird problem. Recently I’ve been cleaning my CC and getting rid of stuff I don’t use. But it’s still showing up despite deleting it. There is no file for the cc in the mods folder but it’s still showing up in game. 

To double check, I also checked it through Tray Importer and it shows that that cc doesn’t have a file.

I have tried removing all my cc and it disappears but when put back it there again despite not having the file there. I have tried repairing the game, clearing my cache and re-downloading the cc to have the file and delete it again but nothing seems to help 😩😩

Can someone help me or has had a similar issue?

I play on Macbook Air 2017.

Trash the localthumbcache.package file too. It is located in the Sims 4 folder.
