Bought Sims 4 for the first time, not opening. [ Edited ]

I'm new to Origin/ The Sims and I bought Sims 4 earlier today. After waiting for it to download for a few hours, I opened it and all I get is a black screen and then it crashes. 

I've tried moving the sims application to my desktop and opening it without origin, and I've also tried repair game which didn't make a difference. 

I accidentally deleted it so it's currently downloading again.

The game will not run without Origin so please make sure the Sims 4 app is in your Applications folder.

Can you please disable Origin in-game then try loading the game again.
