Activation UI Quit Unexpectedly

★★ Novice

I've been trying to open up The Sims 4 all day but I keep getting a notification saying that Activation UI quit unexpectedly. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall The Sims 4 and Origin but neither worked. I also restarted my laptop various times but that did not seem to work either. I have also tried to repair the game via Origin but that did not work. For further information, I am running The Sims 4 on a Mac laptop. I'm really not sure what to do at this point, any help would be appreciated.

@megdog21  Did you try thesims3.com my page - my account - register a game?

I have not tried this, but would it help? I am trying to play the Sims 4, not the Sims 3.

@megdog21  Your right - sorry. The only thing I can think of is a security issue. What antivirus are you using?

@roberta591 it's okay, and I'm not sure if I have an antivirus installed. Is there one that you would recommend or that could fix the problem?
