Sims 4 freezing Macbook Air. Help!

Could you please check in About This Mac? If it is the M1 Mac then enabling vsync will fix it. If it is an Intel Mac we will need to do further troubleshooting.

Yep, it sure is M1. How do I enable Vsync? Never heard of it. Thank you in advance!

Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? newest (sorry can't find the number)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? none
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1.turn on game 2.play for a minute 3.game freezes
What happens when the bug occurs? can completely freezes and I have to shut down my computer completely as it is the only was to get out of the game
What do you expect to see? I expect the game not to freeze
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I feel like I've tried everything, Ive read every forum and attempted all their suggestions, I've completely reinstalled the game, tried repair and a whole lot more. I recently got a new Mac laptop, on my last Mac the game was slow and would freeze slightly but then resume, on my new laptop the game hasn't worked once. The game never fails to freeze and I can not play for more than five minutes before the game freezes, I can get into the game e.g. I get past the menu all fine but it's once I'm in the game it stops working.

Help! I just bought the Sims 4 for my MacBook Pro and it keeps freezing!

This is my first time using Origin and also my first time downloading anything onto this computer. I've got tons of space and I've cleared my cache. I barely get into the "Create a Sim" screen and it freezes the whole computer. How can I fix this? I don't have any other expansion packs installed, just the basic game.
