@puzzlezaddict Thank you, I did all the steps you wrote. The game is now more stable! It launches every time on Play mode. It still crashes a lot whenever I want to quit the game just after saving but I can manage around Standard smile

Hey y'all.

I was having this same issue and was SO excited to find this solution.

I was able to add in that text to the graphicscards.sgr file, and that solved the issue of my graphics card not being recognized.

However, after disabling iCloud Drive/Sync, I'm still having the issue of my game crashing whenever I create a family and move them into a lot. I know Miloev's issued was solved along with a few others, but unfortunately this did not solve the issue for me Frown

Does anyone have any other thoughts on how to fix this?? Much MUCH appreciated.

How about testing in a new account on your Mac?

Yup, tried that. Made sure to make the new account and not sign in to my Apple ID so that iCloud wouldn't be activated.

I also updated my game to the January 16th, 2020 patch update and that didn't solve the issue. Sometimes the game will load the household, but then I'll try it again with a new household to make sure it works before I create my actual family, and it will crash.

All my settings are on low, although I know they can be run higher. I tried setting them to ultra once and the game immediately crashed when I clicked "apply changes".

Hmmm, give starting up in safe mode a go - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

You could also try resetting Origin - https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/

Just tried both of those things, neither worked Frown

I can't imagine it's anything to do with the hardware, as I just got this Mac about two weeks ago. Just confused as to why others were able to resolve their issues with the solutions in this thread, but I cannot seem to remedy it even though my specs are the same.

Me neither Frown

Any antivirus running? Have you run any ‘cleaner’ apps? What else is running on your Mac, including any background stuff?

Which AMD GPU does your Mac have?
