I got the game to function only once during the September patch, but during that game it crashed. Now every time the game loads it crashes or it allows me to get to a lot and that lot no longer has floors then it crashes.

Hi, there is this black box that appears over my current household and I am unable to play (I included a photo). Even if I try to load the game rather than go in from the map. I can't play. I've tried backing up and resetting the game, repairing in origin, nothing seems to work and it is extremely frustrating.
I already had difficulties with the game before an had to completely uninstall it and start from scratch. I would really hate to lose all my progress all over again. I don't have any mods and the graphics are set to medium too, trying to resolve the issue. I don't really understand all the files that make up the game, so I don't know what to do next. Please help me, I never mess around with the game, I'm not very into how the game works, I just like to play as is. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is very frustrating to deal with. Thank you!!
