Hi there, I was wondering if you were able to sort your problem out?

Having massive graphics issues

★ Novice

I have a late 2015 iMac running El Capitan and have never had any problems with the game. This year I suddenly started experiencing crazy graphics issues which make the game unplayable. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, tried the game in both windowed and full screen mode, tried changing the graphics settings. I believe it started happening around the legacy split-off update but to my knowledge my machine isn't required to change to the legacy edition. Performance is otherwise laggy but functional, seems to only/mostly be a graphics thing. I have no cc or mods installed.

Merged your post into this thread on El Capitan issues. Please update your OS to High Sierra or later to get back into your game.

I've recently got a second hand mac, and I was really excited to download the sims again. BUUUUTTT every time I try and play, within a couple minutes of gameplay, that multicolour spin wheel appears and the game freezers... and then i have to shut down my mac. Please help me....

@kittyanstis99

Thanks. Merged your posts into this thread as the issue is El Capitan. Please upgrade your OS to 10.13.6 High Sierra or later to get back into your game. Sierra is also causing issues for some, especially those with AMD graphics cards.

10.13.6 High Sierra - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT208969
10.14.6 Mojave - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT210190
10.15.4 Catalina - update through the Mac App Store

Hi, i also just got a second hand iMac 27 late 2015. I just downloaded sims an opened it, then said that the graphic card was not supported by sims. Is there anyway way of fixing it without having to buy a new card or computer?

Re: Having massive graphics issues

@Asserisnice

Are you running El Capitan? This thread is very specific to that OS. If not, please start a new thread with the details you posted above, confirm which version of macOS you are running, and post a screenshot of the error message.
