Download error Origin is not able to download Sims 4 "DiP_STAGED"

@Bluebellflora I just bought the sims 4, and I am getting this error message and I haven't even gotten to downloading it yet. I do not know what to do.

@puzzlezaddict Hello, I just bought the sims 4, and I trying to download it but it keeps pausing the download and giving me an error message. Someone said to move the actual game into a different folder, but since I am just now downloading it, Im not able to do that.

I do not know what to do

Has Origin partly downloaded the base game? What option shows in the orange button under the game in your Origin games library?

Hello all! I'm trying to update my Sims 4 Digital Deluxe game, but it keeps saying a should change the file location. This is the message the game gave me:

"Origin is not able to download The Sims™ 4 Digital Deluxe to /Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents/__Installer/installerdata.xml_DiP_STAGED.

Please check that the location is available or cancel and restart the download to another location."

I'm not sure what to change it too because I don't want to mess up my game or computer. If it helps I have a Mac from about 2010.

Did you read the opening post? You need to be logged into the same Mac user account the game is installed to when updating.
