Great! Yes, if you have re-downloaded the game and packs to the external you can successfully trash them from your Mac. However, if you did not re-download them then the game will still be loading from the original location.
@Bluebellflora Hello, I followed every step so the Sims is on the hard drive. I deleted the Sims off my Mac and have tried to relaunch it, however, it is just 'bouncing' on the bar at the bottom of my desktop. What does this mean? Do I need to uninstall it and then redownload it to my external hard drive again?
Please can you screenshot the Finder window showing the game on your external and post it here, also a screenshot of the game library location in Origin would be helpful
@Bluebellflora Hi, unfortunatley, it is still bouncing on the dock. I have done the game library location as you have said, and the only location the sims is in, is the external hard drive. Not sure where I've gone wrong here!
@Bluebellflora Hello, so... while I was waiting for your reply, I thought it was a good idea just to restart my laptop, and turns out the sims is now working through my hard drive! Thank you so so so much for your help!!
I just had one more question... if I want to download a new expansion pack/game pack etc, do I just click download and it will automatically go to my hard drive?
