For those with antivirus installed, have you tried disabling it and seeing if this still happens?
Might be worth creating a new user account on your Mac and testing the game in that account to see if it still won't quit properly. Maybe an app or process is conflicting with the game since updating to Ventura in your normal account.

I’m having the same problem after updating my macbook to ventura. I’ve already repaired the game in origin and reset my sims folder. I launched from the complete new folder and still had to force quite the application. I’m so frustrated.

I'm on a MacBook Pro andI just updated MacOS Ventura a couple of days ago.
So far, I don't have any problem playing The Sims 4, however, I occur difficulty closing the game. It just doesn't quit, I have to force close it.
I tried to disable all my MODs, but it didn't work.

I'm getting this issue as well; I've tried repairing the game, removing my mods and booting my Mac into Safe Mode and none of those worked.

I have the same problem as well, installed Ventura Sunday 10/30. I moved my game from iCloud to my local drive, loaded up into Sims4 as a freshly installed game and went into CAS made a Sim, purchased a house, saved the game that was fine but, when I clicked on save and exit, I received the game just stalls.
I am on a ...

I am hoping EA will find a fix for this shortly.

A new update for the game today, but it doesn't solve the Force Quit problem, just so people know.

Yes, Mine as well. It still freezes.

Same problem here. Origin client is very slow and crashes. Sims 4 is very long to launch and i can't quit without "force quitting".

I’ve tried that as well, I’ve also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and those didn’t work either; repairing, deleting cache, rebooting the Mac into Safe Mode and uninstalling and reinstalling Origin and those didn’t work either.
