Turning off NPC voting causes my game to freeze

When I uncheck the box for NPC voting in game options/ Eco Lifestyle and then click apply changes, my game freezes and I’m unable to do anything other than exit the application (without going to main menu). I’ve tried numerous times and it happens each time. I recently updated to version 1.27

It’s an existing save but I haven’t played the Eco world yet. I’ve only been in live mode once this week in newcrest when play testing a room before uploading to gallery. I was trying to disable voting before playing Eco to stop unwanted NAPs beforehand (stealing, fighting etc)

@VIKING5GRLI did experience this as you said, but only on a save where npcs had started voting already. On a new game when disabled right away from live mode, there was no freeze. I think you should post this in bug reports. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/bd-p/The-Sims-4-Bugs
