What I'm wondering, is why there were console control changes in the first place? Seriously, I'm genuinely asking. We were fine with how things were, we had muscle memory, found comfortable ways to build, play, and create, then things were changed on us and it took nearly six months to address it. Changing the bumpers was something that should have been correct the first time, and all these years later they finally changed it when we had muscle memory.
This game has become a source of nothing but stress and disappointment.
Please, just revert the controls back to how they were, we have been saying clearly and quite loudly what we want, think, a feel about OUR gaming experience, and getting surface level responses, offensively late responses, and outright ignoring our complaints, we say move left and EA/Sims moves farther right.
Please, just change them back. We have been more patient than we needed to be, it's not fair that we spend all this money to play our favorite game, just to have it become painful to play.

@minercrafter562It was intentionally done in the new update there's a thread (The sims 4 on console feedback thread)to add your thoughts if you wish to add
In my opinion the new changes for the console version's "live mode" is terrible. Its annoying, unconfortable and confusing to use for the long time players. I hope they change it back to the original or at least give us the opportunity to change it back!
i just wanted to say thank you. I'm really happy with this update and that you really listened us and cared. You did a great job! sure some changes with the buttons feel weird at first (like changing time with r2 l2 and changing sim with r1 l1) but i'm sure i'll get used to them fast. also i like the new thing when you press the middle square or whatever, you can continue scrolling right where you left it. overall i'm happy that the stupid catalog is gone and build mode is playable again! <33 (yesterday i couldn't even use the move house option, gladly that's fixed now, too c: )
Ever since this update and a previous one it's been very hard to play on console, especially within the build and buy mode. The new control settings seem to be more for PC than console. It'd be great if the old build and buy mode settings were put back in place, as for the new update with the switch between people/speed options. It's also become harder to play as I'm constantly a accidentally speeding up time instead of switching players.
If maybe an option to have these old settings available in the settings area was in place that would be great honestly.
Hello Sims 4! I wanted to give my feedback on the most recent update.. I feel switching the functions for the bumpers (L1, R1) and triggers (L2, R2) was very unnecessary. It actually made me turn off my console because I have been using L1 and R1 to speed up and slow down since forever and now it's suddenly different making it difficult for me to enjoy the game. I hope you will consider undoing this change as I cannot adjust to this feature update that was not needed.
