Sims 4 Pets PS4 Interaction Glitch

Hi,

I have Sims 4 and the Pets add-on on PS4, and there is currently a niggling glitch. Any attempt I make to interact with an animal does not work. I'll encounter a stray cat, and attempting to interact with it in anyway doesn't do anything at all. My sim will stand still doing nothing, while the interaction sits in the queue incomplete. Any ideas?
