Re: Ps4 PROBLEMS!? SIMS 4

★★★★ Novice

Similar story to you, got the game with PS+ and went a bit overboard with DLC, anyways on topic.

64x64 in Windenburg (Countryside, Dresden House) is what's causing the crash for me too.

The lot itself loads fine. I'm able to make edits with no faults. It's as soon as I open the "Gallery" within the lot in build mode I get the black screen and error CE-34878-0.

Tested different combinations of save data (delete gallery save - load save 1, delete save 1 - restore gallery save - load save 2 etc) to no avail.

The fault doesn't affect any of my other lots besides the 64x64 mentioned.

It doesn't appear to be save dependant, though it still could be.

I wonder if it's to do with a specific item or the lot itself, or a combination of both that's causing the issue?

While writing this I was able to get the gallery to open in the lot, carried on testing. When the camera is facing towards North West it worked, when the camera was facing North East the crash occured.

[PS4] Game crashes in build mode

[ Edited ]
★★★ Newbie

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Ver 1.24
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When you go into build mode or save the game
What happens when the bug occurs? The game crashes and give the error CE-34878-0
What do you expect to see? For the game not to crash
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

This is a problem that crops up every few months. The error code is CE-34878-0. I follow the instructions that is provided by PlayStation but the game keeps crashing. So the problems isn’t with the console but the game.

@xSOLIDxSCORPIONx My crash problems is not correlated to any lots, simmers or items etc. the only thing in common is that it happens whenever the game needs to load/think. So, when in a household, loading in and out of Build mode and managed worlds, loading in and out of CAS, the get to work jobs, visiting other lots and worse of all; SAVING. I can’t even protect myself from this bug.....
I haven’t played the game in I don’t know how long, because the game is simply unplayable.

Hi @Innocent0916

I've merged your report in with this existing thread on it.

Could you check out the steps advised in the post pinned here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Consoles/PS4-Game-crashing-after-December-update/m-p/8547...

Failing those steps, the same post details how to send your saves to the Sims team. The can be sent onto SimGuruNick through those steps.

Thanks,

Sims4 PS4 crashing continuously!

★★★ Novice

Does anyone else have the problem of crashing if you...

A) Go into or out from build mode.

B) Have over 7 characters on screen.

C) Taking a photo.

D Traveling to a different location.

E) Playing over 2 hours

F) Saving.... WTF -_-' No it didn't save either!

For the amount of money spent. This is horrendously irritating!

Done all the basic off/on, uninstall reinstall, update PS4 & Sims, rebuild database etc etc.....

Any ideas? Or am I just throwing money in the fire.

This is happening to me as well. I have all expansion and most game and stuff packs. I noticed I get the error when using the camera option in the game. Whether it's the photo studio included with GTW or just a Sims cell phone camera. I manually save A LOT because of the games history of being wonky.

You’re still not going to speed up the nine minutes it takes to get into the game. Refunds for broken software.
