EA support helpdesk

★★ Novice

Your helpdesk is driving me totally crazy. I'm playing F1 23 but in F1 World I can't change any settings.  For example: Recovery mode is set to Reset to track and I can't change it to Flashbacks. The solution of your helpdesk: reinstall the game. Did not work. Your solution: must be a bug.

As I didn't want to spent more time and effort in this I ordered and downloaded F1 24. SAME PROBLEM. Solution of your helpdesk: reinstall the game (was a fresh install already) Did not work.

Now I have a ticket nr. 193347330 but whatever I try I can't open it.

So at this point there is no way for me to contact anybody or get my problem solved.

JUST GIVE ME AN EMAIL ADRESS OF SOMEONE WITH ENOUGH KNOWLEDGE TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM!!

Thank you for helping out!

Once in Simulation settings I can't change anything there.

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but what?

Thanks again.

@nkoole  In F1 world, the settings are based on your licence level.  To have flashbacks instead of auto-recovery you need to be level A. I notice on your pictures you're only level C, so flashback won't be available to you in F1 World.

Here's a little video to show what I mean.

Hope that helps

Hi,

Thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately I can't see the video full screen.

Is there a link to a larger video?

Thanks.

@nkoole Sorry bout the video size, that is EA's version of large. I know you can only go full screen on a PC or laptop. I've just watched it again, And even at level C it says for solo events you should have flashbacks (I didn't think that was the case). But for multiplayer events it will be set to auto-recovery.

There's been a few people complain about the auto recovery in ranked multiplayer but it has never changed and is the same for everyone.

So it should be there.

Let's wait and see if anyone has the answer.

Thanks anyway.

@nkoole Yes it should be there. I've just checked mine and most of the events are locked to flashback even when I selected a lower licence level. Apart from the scenario which you can select from none, flashback and auto recovery. But none are locked to auto recovery,

So that is very odd

@DRudd13 Found out in Series it is locked to Reset to track but in Solo/multiplayer I can change it (still talking about F1 World).

Getting stranger and stranger.

@nkoole I couldn't check the series as I'd finished mine a while ago. Glad you have figured it out, though.

I can't really remember, but maybe it changes as you progress through them.
