Cant open F1 24 [ Edited ]

I don't know what the issue is, but I don't think it can be solved by buyers. Hopefully they update the game soon on EA Play. This is as bad as I've seen as far as so many players not being able to launch a new game at all.

@Crusader765 this seems to be occurring on EA Play *and* steam.
i hope that it is noticed by the fact that this is one of the most active threads on the forum currently

@evil_mercenary Yes, but it seems like there was a separate issue with Steam and the anti-cheat that was solved with an update early on. Unfortunately for us with EA Play or Pro, far more people play the game on steam.

Nope. I'm on steam and the problem still occurs. I followed the procedure to delete hardware settings, and verified files (twice)...still I can't launch the game.

Maybe as a work-around, EA should disable the anti-cheat software until they can determine the cause.

This post shows Steam customers are still having the issue.

@briano19399 Hey, really sorry for your experience here. Can you try updating G Hub? It says you've got a Logitech Wheel in the DXdiag you supplied and there's a known issue for Logitech G Hub versions older then 2024.4.

Yes, we installed the latest G-Hub...version 2023.10. It didn't make any difference.

Edit: Originally we have 2023.1. G-Hub said there was an update and it installed 2023.10.

I checked G-Hub again, and now it says another update is available. This time it installed 2024.3.

But, the game still won't start

@cdm_slumbdog I personally have updated my Logitech GHub and that hasn't changed anything. and in this case i'm personally attempting to run the game using only am Xbox controller plugged in.

i've managed to create a windows error reporting (WER) process dump of the crashing F1_24.exe process - would that be of any assistance?

@cdm_slumbdog why do you keep saying 2024.4 .. the latest is 2024.3.3733.0 so I don't know where are you coming up with 2024.4?
