New rules

Suggestion for a new rule:

A player that achieve a badge in a world, he can not attack/kill any other player after that. He can just attack/kill Bases, Outposts and Camps.

 

After a badge many players (from main allaince) join other allaince(s) and interfere and influence in next badge rank achievement.

With that rule, fight for 2nd, 3rd, etc badge will still be meaningful and interesting for other players and will enjoy in continuing the game to his badge.

 

Would be interesting to implement that new rule at least in one new comming world.

@Brlice similar suggestions have been made in the past. It's unlikely that such a change will be made in such an old game.

@Brlice fast badges are about funding.
So the biggest funders will get the first and quickest badges.

Also fast first badge winners often loose several levels right after leaving the way open for another aspiring alliance.

Everyone else is there for the long term if they bother to stay. If no other alliances
form then a given server will be dominated by the people who are allied and funded until they decided to leave.

@BRLI72 MMO type games tend to have layers of features to encourage participation epically persistent world games.
Cooperative play rules this game and I don't believe that discouraging players from staying on a server will help in this case.

True, players are discouraged by the front runners.But most changes to the game suggested will simplify gameplay and take fundamental features away.
If the servers are played for 3 months with most moving on, most research, layout variation, resource options,... It's all pointless.

I think the main hindrance is a lack of cooperative play aside from the front runners.
So less people play so there is little reason to make many changes, therefore less people play so little is changed........and so on.....

For instance if anyone.can remember back that far....

I always suspected that the decision by the old devs to push defense artillery calibration times to 5 minutes actually discouraged pvp thus making people leave the game.

And....

 

Consider the discussion about destroyed base attack cool down times going on more or less at them same time. 

A 24 hr cool down was decided on when people were objecting to even 12 hr time.

 

By itself it does not amount to a big deal. But taken with the longer artillery timer?

I remember a 48 hour cool down and at least 7 minutes calibration times but that's didn't last long......

I think it was on select servers.

I would go further and say that badge winners should be removed from the world completely

 

they can log in and look around or chat   but all thier bases will be ghosted as soon as they win the medal.

 

 

This makes the 2nd badge an interesting fight between the wing of the people that just won and the rest of the server who may not be interested in that  world order lol

I think all that have badged first should continue in any for which they desire.

 

Like it or not they have won by skill or by funding (or both) and therefore they are the server winners.

 

Winners do not and should not be penalised for winning. Winners should be rewarded and that comes in many forms. Examples of that reward is, they help next alliances or dictate the run order and to be honest that is the way it should be as they have first badge and server effectively belongs to them. If it is not agreed or accepted by others then them others should fight the winners for the right to control server. Nothing should just be given it is a war game. 

 

Oh and the name of the game is " Command and Conquer Tiberium AllianceS " it is not "Kill the middle then disappear" ;-)
