spore crashes when i add the spike part

so I play spore in the cell stage the mating call and progress bar is glitched/jumbled I just look over it as a minor bug. then I murder a cell with the spike part and enter the cell editor add the part and then I freezes, the music cuts out and it closes then it says a program is crashing spore. Windows checking for a problem. after it says that that crashed (the laptop is a windows 10 and I own creepy & cute and galactic  adventures)

Maybe your graphic cache is too large, so delete it. Instructions can be found in the sticky post

Don't forget to expand your graphic cache size under Settings / Graphics
