[Solution] Spore for Steam - Can't log in to servers

I am able to access the cd keys for Galactic Adventures Expansion Pack and Creepy & Cute Pack but for the base game Spore, Steam is not giving me a cd key... is there anything I can do?

@WolfWhisper98 Hiya, I had the same problem last year now ,sent them a help email they just said they cannot do anything to solve my problem and sent me a refund straight away saying no more ! Hope this helps .
I've checked since then and the same applies ,no point in buying it cos you can't play it ,register it or anything.

Login failed.
There was an error connecting to the Spore servers. Your computer might be offline or your internet connection may be having problems. Check your connection or visit Spore.com for additional assistance or server status.

But just to clarify for people.....

Type into Google "Origin client download" and then download and install.

Then go back to steam and right click on Spore to get CD key/keys.

Then log in to Origin and redeem these CD code/codes.

Then make spore account using your Origin login details.

I say keys and codes cause I had the original Spore + Galactic Adventures + Cute and Creepy so had to redeem 3 times.

P.S. I'm from the UK but must have registered to EA/Origin through the US site so when redeeming codes you might have to select English US rather than English UK.

I managed to resolve my connectivity issue: when trying to redeem the Spore base game, the default English choice is the wrong one. Try the second English option.

I thought I'd add this info, in case someone else still has troubles logging on to the Spore server.

I found the fix to be purchasing the creature creator, which unlocks the ability to go online. Don't download or install it, just purchase it.

Yeah so i followed the steps but guess what, steam doesn't wanna give me the cd key for spore, i been waiting for a while now and it still says "Requesting key..." so either steam doesn't work or your solution doesn't work, maybe both.
