As the tile states, I bought the game on Steam, yet can't login or access network features ingame.
No CD keys were provided as well, so I can't redeem or verify the game through the EA app.

You'll need to speak to an EA Representative via Live Chat to transfer a copy of Spore and it's DLCs if you bought them over to the EA App.
You do not need the CD-Key; As you were not provided with one. You need to follow EA's 'How to provide proof of purchase' guide for Steam. You can find your Steam transaction history here.
Once you've been given a copy of the game, you can now register Spore by downloading the game on the EA App and opening it, then registering. Once registered, you can uninstall Spore on the EA App and return to Steam and login.

Awesome, thank you for the info and guide! I've submitted all I could apart from the PoP email from Steam, it got deleted unfortunately as it was 2 years ago or so.
A case is open and I'll wait for a response.
