With the debut of new gen consoles, I think skate 3 and 4 should be released for the pc community regardless if its through steam or EA. I believe there are some issues with agreements and what not, but the new gen consoles coming out are mini PC's that cost $700-$1000. Theres a lot of PC players that mainly use controller and I think you'd be missing out on a good amount of players that wont get stadia/ps5/new xbox for monetary reasons. Cross play has been one of the best changes I've seen recently in gaming, like microsoft supporting xbox features while you're on your pc! I just don't see why you wouldn't release it on PC unless its because of a contract/agreement of some sort, we would LOVE to play your games.
