Lost War Items

My club in currently in a war, and I launched an attack with a fire hydrant, and binoculars. When I did this something happened and the game got stuck. I had to close and reopen the app. But when I reopened it, my fire hydrant, and binoculars were gone, and I didn't get any credit for launching my attack (which leaves me at 800 points rather than 1000). 

I would have thought that whatever database this stuff is stored in would be using transactions to prevent this sort of thing from happening.
