Journal task icon on buildi

Once journal task icons appear over a building, they seem to stay there until the tasks are accomplished. That didn’t bother me when two popped up on my small water towers, but one is now attached to a newer building in the middle of my city. 

I really don’t want it there, in the middle of downtown, especially since it’s for the Vu Tower, and I’m not really interested in those tasks. 

Even if i were interested, it would be silly for it to be present right now, since you can’t even unlock Vu Tower until you population is 90,000, and I’m still under 80,000. 

How do I make that icon go away?

Unfortunately, I don’t think that players can remove the icons (until the task is completed). I have several that have littered my landscape for a long time; maybe someday I’ll get motivated to complete the tasks lol.
