Can’t load my saved city.

How do I log into a previously played city linked to my Google account? I have already tried clicking on the button with the 3 human figures and then the green login button and then I chose the Google account it was linked to. All the game then says is “Sorry, Mayor! This account is already linked to another city. We cannot log you in to this account” instead of loading my account.
