EA claims the market is all "real" and subject to availability of real items.

If so, when more players are on, they need to show more items. Double or triple the number of items.

Also, when do I get to make a "request" for items? I get tons of requests to sell items to other mayors, but don't ever get a chance to request and bid a price like they do...

If that was a real part of play instead of just EA buying items they know you'll need for the next upgrade or expansion, it would solve the market imbalance we currently have. Give me a chance to ask for a dozen blades at whatever price I'm willing to pay. Now THAT would be a fix to this obvious problem...

The Tombola of False Hopes

I've been an avid fan of this game and absolutely hooked on it for months. I've tried not to let my disappointment in some its features spoil my experience but after the latest patch still fixing nothing I have finally gotten bored of the game. This is simply because trying to buy what I need on HQ is just too exhausting and feels like a chore instead of a game. I'm level 34 with 700k population and I have spent £14 on the game. HQ being broken has not made me buy items I struggle to get hold of because most things are far too expensive. For example a single plane speed up is £1.50, and upgrading a building once without items is around £8, who in there right mind is spending that? My money went into factory slots and trade depot slots back when reselling donuts to Daniel was a thing before you "fixed" HQ the first time.

The original HQ  was bad because it was always full of the the same items relevant to your level, but some how by fixing that you made everything worse. In my opinion the worst thing you have done is add the 30 second timer. Slowing down the rate at which we can refresh and try again simply added and extra barrier instead of improving the situation. Now you are greying out items that are already sold. This solves nothing and the Llama's are still incompetent. If anything the faster realisation that the items are already sold has made the 30 second gate an even more noticeable hindrance.

I was thinking of making a 10 min video showing you what the average player experience is like trying to buy 2 or 3 specific items from HQ. But seriously you must already know. If you aren't all hooked on playing your own game then its clear something is very wrong, and if you are hooked and not pissed off with how HQ works then I don't think you can be classed as human.

Fingers crossed that you are working really hard on an overhauled trade system and you have taken in to account the masses of ideas and suggestions for fixes on Facebook. I really hope that these crappy minor patches are just for show and you aren't serious about them being the answer. If you do get your acts together and fix things then I will be back. but until then, I guess I'l only be logging in to claim my taxes and then moving on to play other games.

The game has become nearly impossible to play. The trade HQ is completely dysfunctional. I spend 95% of my time trying to find 1 or 2 items. I'm looking for 2 dozer blades and have spent the better part of 2 days and still can't buy them. I have tons of coins but can't buy them because they are always sold out no matter how fast I am. I can't build them obviously in my factories and the "random" items I get from the "bubbles" is just that, random. Overall I needed 4 dozer blades and it's been 6 days and I have 2! Very frustrating. This obvious attempt to get me to spend real money to purchase dozer blades won't work. I'm being forced to stop playing the game because it's boring now that I can't get what I need in the trade HQ and when it's not boring it's frustrating. Either way it's becoming a waste of my time. Sad because I'd like to play it but I'm forced to not recommend it to anyone because once you level up to a certain point the game bogs down and becomes so frustrating to NOT be able to complete your city. It's probably quite clever to have made it relatively easy in the beginning to get people hooked and then yank the rug out from under them. I'm sure you make enough money off the people who will take real cash to buy dozer blades but you won't get it from me. Back to the google play store to find my next game to play...

PS- 17 Freakin hours for a plane to come back and my reward is one lousy random thing for my Tokyo town expansion which isn't usually what I need. My god! By my calculations it could easily be many YEARS before I get a Tokyo town skyscrapper district... ( I could fly around the entire REAL world in about the same 17 hour period. Where are you sending these sim planes? Mars and back?)

Hello AmelieEA,  Can you tell us if anything is being done to fix the horrendous GTHQ issues? If so, what and when?  If not, who could? Thanks.

So that would be a "No" then?

An actual EA response acknowledging how horrible the Global Trade is?  Hahaha.

I have almost 500,000 simoleons, but it is next to impossible to actually buy something in the GTHQ.

If were able to sit in a planning session with the functional designers, I would say:

We want to encourage people to spend money our game.  How can we accomplish that?   Let's make it easier for the players to spend their simoleons.  Then, they will spend money to buy more simeoleons so they can buy the stuff they want.  I mean, we even tell the players that is what the GTHQ is for: "To buy and sell items they need".

We should do something.  The reviews in the Google Play Store are trending negatively.  In the last week alone, there were only a few 4 and 5 star ratings.  Mostly, the reviews were 1 and 2 star ratings.  We must be doing something wrong.

After saying that, I would probably be escorted out of the building for saying ludicrous statements.

Hello.

What about a search function in Global Trade Center?

It's not funny to to wait till your random trading item selection show these items I'm searching for it.

Kind regards

Might I suggest, for the next update or future update; a symbol on your friends list telling you if your friends are selling items?

I'm not sure what's worse. The fact that you took a good game and a fascinating concept with the GTHQ and destroyed it or the fact that you don't respond to anyone here with answers or anything. I'm off to google play store to leave a review and tell everyone what happens once you level up and can't get what you need. I waited 8 days to open one lousy area on the map with dozer parts. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I should have spent my real money to get sim cash to get the parts. Well, no thank you because after leveling up this last time in must have triggered something because EVERY building upgrade takes a day or more of playing time to gather what I need to upgrade one freakin building. The upgrade requirement for the "premium" build items is ridiculous. I see one item type will be for 2 pizzas. It takes hours and hours of cheese and steak making just to get the pizzas. Good luck finding them in the GTHQ. And no doubt there are 5 other items styles with multiple counts on each FOR EVERY UPGRADE. And with only one of each type of commercial building available it's so slow it's not even fun. Oh, I guess we are back to me spending real money. Well, I would have paid 10-20 bucks up front if the play was better and upgrade parts and more commercial building were available. I need 2 bags of cement and have to wait nearly 2 hours and all the while and other build items like freakin nails, wood planks and glue that I need to build other items that I eventually have to wait 2-4 hours for to finally build one upgrade. Whew! That was a mouthful. Even if I had all day to play I'd want to poke my eyes out. The only good thing is it takes so long to build sofa's and fridges and yogurt (seriously? one of my building wanted 3 frozen yogurts and bunch of other stuff - 12 hours worth of frozen yogurt builds AFTER you get what you need to make them) that it at least it gives me time to fight with a thousand other people in the GTHQ for one dozer blade. The only reason I took time to write this is to warn others and a pitiful last ditch effort to get a response. I liked your other PC Sim games but this is putting such a bad taste in my mouth I don't have anything good to say about EA. PLS fix this. The word of mouth by responding and fixing the game would pay you huge dividends! Can you NOT SEE THAT?

Best-

A Unhappy mayor-
