Hi there, My club hate having the new regions. How do we delete them? This is really putting me off.
October 2018
I honestly don't get the point of them. But beyond that, they seem kind of buggy. I listed fans and no one in my club could see them when they went to my depot to buy them. And a number of repairs/upgrades I've had required items from regions I did not unlock.

I would like to make a suggestion on behalf of the hundreds of COM players who are now displaced due to your change of only top 25 being awarded a chest.
People will begin to make new clubs as we have. Sister clubs. Please change the requirements to make it possible for people to obtain the legendary chest. So much has been taken away … would you consider making this change:
Previously it was: 1 500 000 to get the legendary chest. (50 000 for first common chest)
Please consider reducing each chest by half.
25 000 for Common… all the way up to 750 000 for Legendary Chest.
Thank you!

The only logical explanation I can come up with is that EA has decided to run another disgusting money-grabbing, game-ruining escapade that is not client focused in any way whatsoever.
Be proud, EA. You're losing hundreds if not thousands of players. Hope it was worth it.

Like a few other players, I was really excited when I first saw the update. The new regions were visually appealing, had a small fun story attached to them, and I liked the idea of starting a new area over. I was so intrigued by the region I picked that I wanted to spend most of my time/energy/resources on that region instead of my main one. I now simply become sad every time I go into my region to try and collect that region's measly few coins in the effort to someday maybe be able to play the region effectively. While I like the thought behind the regions expansion, below are my main issues with the latest update.
The game has become heavily skewed towards existing large players and makes being a smaller (and learning) player even more difficult. As someone who is level 25, I feel that the amount of real-world money I would have to drop at once in order to ease my level of frustration with this regions addition is insane. It just does not feel worth it.
This is due to the following:
I have spent real world money on this game in the past. With the new update, I'm not even sure how long I want to play. I'm certainly not going to spend money on a game that makes it harder for me to enjoy the game at all.

First, overall the areas are great. I like the new space to create new lands, and that you have made them significantly different, so each region can be stylized uniquely. Here are a few things that would improve Regions:
1. Add the region population to the capital city (technically it is the same city, so it makes sense that it should be added in).
2. Add tax collection to regions.
3. Allow movement of utilities and services. For example, I bought limited-time solar panels on Earth Day that would be great for Green Valley, but cannot move them or purchase again. I would love to shift this to Regions, and build new Omega power in the capital city.
4. Allow view of Capital City and Regions without notification bubbles. It would be great to see our own creations, in the same way we can view all other cities. It can be a toggle switch, similar to viewing roads construction.
5. Allow others to visit Regions (though I imagine this is already in the plans).
Thanks for requesting feedback and keep up the growth in the game!

Was a little apprehensive about downloading the Regions update after reading the negative comments here and on the game's Facebook page. But I took the plunge and am absolutely loving it !
Am enjoying the refreshing change of scenery, new buildings, new items and gameplay elements.
While it was a bit challenging in the beginning, once I got going, it became easier. Opted to start with Green Valley, and constantly have my Eco Shop constantly rolling out the slippers and yoga mats. Have lots of epics in my capital city, so I could afford to use several speed up tokens a day. I sell the items everytime I get offers, and am building up a decent bank of regional currency.
Was nice to have Region tasks in the CoM too. The 'Earn 350 Leaf Simoleons' for 2666 points or 'Upgrade 3 Green Valley Buildings' for 3000 points tasks were a breeze. Was lucky enough to get many of those, and it helped me win Megalopolis this week. Just kept selling stuff, or building then demolishing and building again to earn the currency.
Never saw the big issue with needing regional items for building repairs and upgrades. They came up only once in a while, and I just refreshed the building plans and waited 5 or 30mins. If I was in a hurry, I sped it up by watching ads, and within two or three cycles, usually had favourable plans that allowed me to upgrade or repair.
Granted, needing the regional items for deliveries was mildly annoying, but I just requested new deliveries each time. No big deal.
No doubt, the update required many to change their gameplay and learn new things. Perhaps that's what causes the grief. But for me, it keeps a game fun and entertaining. And mind you, I did not have to spend any real money on it post-update (bought Simcash a few times and some seasonal exclusive buildings months ago and that was it).
Some suggestions:
- As many have said, it would make sense to not require items for regions you have not yet unlocked
- Reduce item production times a little
- For the Green Valley map, perhaps fill up the unbuildable areas with more trees rather than it being empty grass
- Make the regions more integrated. For example, make it so like the tunnel beside the Neo Mall in the Capital City, connects to Green Valley, while the highway branching left from the War Depot connects to Limestone Cliffs. And from there, perhaps another tunnel that goes to Cactus Canyon. Right now, the three regions just feel too disparate, disconnected and standalone.
And a request - if you're planning more regional maps, please make one of a snowy, winter setting! Would love to build a quaint mountaintop village or ski resort kind of city.

@roccodonovan8: If the forum posts are to be believed, it seems you start receiving the new items as random rewards even if you do not unlock a region. So I'm not sure you can "turn off" the new update
