trading between cities. Will it ever be ingame?

I dont mean giving gifts.

What I mean is. I produce plastic in one city and processors in the other.

Any chance we can send out the plastic to the processors city so we can make Televisions?

Instead of importing plastic in the processor city?

Cause if Simcity is about working together.. this should be ingame.../

And the gifting system should not have a 5-10 minutes delay, making this impossible...

EA and Maxis main reason for DRM  was that Cities can comunicate! They will start to communicate at end of 2014, so if you still play game at that time you will see some communication, probably.

You still need to play like 3 cities at a time for that. We are only allowed to play one per account simultaneously. Playing one city, then gifting to another, etc.etc. takes a lon while before the circle is complete and the first city get's the money.

Just import plastic and sell processors.  You make more money selling processors because raw materials are cheaper.  This is what happens in real life.  Australia exports raw materials to South Korea for the production of their Samsung TVs.

using RL arguments for this game is just silly.

In RL ppl actually commute from one city to an other. Not in this Simcity.

Its silly that a neighboring city is making one of the required elements but you cant even trade it within your cities.. You either have to use a GIFT (which either doesnt work or is horrible slow) or just export it on the international marketO.o Why not export it on the local market, to other cities, like we do with water/electricity, waste, garbage, etc.

It doesnt make any sense.

Exporting to the global market and then buying from the global market is the same thing, it just isn't direct.  Gifting is a once off thing and isn't designed for "selling" a continuous stream resources.  That is what the global market is for.

Also, people do commute between cities, maybe you just don't know how to set it up properly.

Also, this is a RL simulator so it is based on real life, so calm down (edited by EA staff: no need to be curt here)
