I had the same problem and surprisingly none of these helped so what I do was messed about with the properties and eventually changed the colour thingy (forgot what it was called ) but of it is on 8 bit change it to a 16 bit and this helped instantly

Was having both black screen with sound upon hitting play. Had to restart PC or log off to get it to go away. Sometimes I would get in game and would freeze when placing anything. Tried all the recommended fixes and nothing worked. I even tried different resolutions but my fix was TURNING OFF VERTICAL SYNC and everything is fine. Playing at normal resolution and high graphic settings. Hope this helps
