Maybe more people would use that forum if your community was not so convuluted that you can not figure out where posts should go!  How many DIFFERENT forums do you need for a game?  Why can't everything be in in place, or would that be to convienient for the consumer?

I did not ask for reply to a "messy launch". My question was more direct than that. This game was a Beta upon release and still is considering the number of patches being done and the current state of the game.

And, the reason I posted this here, is because this is the Answer HQ > SimCity English > Miscellaneous Issues thread. I wanted an answer to the SimCity game that falls under miscellaneous. Look up the definition of that last word in the previous sentence.

Moving on past the first question I asked, and onto the second question... when is there another patch coming, and furthermore, what can we expect to fixed?

Now there's a question I can answer!  The next patch will be released tomorrow (23/05/2013).

You can expect the following fixes: http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/9437292.page

Currently In Development

Hi Mayors – below you'll find the notes that will appear in Update 4.0 tomorrow.

Update 4.0 Notes

• New: SimCity Launch Park, an exclusive new park just for our dedicated fans who were early adopters.
• New: Region: Edgewater Bay. Seven city sites in one cluster around a beautiful bay with one great work site.
• New: Your current server will now be shown in the options menu.
• New: More detailed rollover information on buildings telling player’s if their Sims received happiness from a park or from shopping. Previous to this fix, this information was generic.
• Re-Enabled Feature: Global Market prices now dynamically change during gameplay.
• Re-Enabled Feature: Leaderboards will be active on EU West 3, Pacific 1 and Pacific 2 at the release. We will enable them on additional servers throughout the day.
• Re-Enabled Feature: Region filters are now enabled on all SimCity servers. Players will be able to search for open games by Map Name, Sandbox Mode, and Abandoned Cities.
• Rain Clouds: Fixed an issue where some cities would not have rain clouds to replenish their water table. If you had a city with this issue, you will start seeing clouds again within a game day.
• Fire: Improved response time of fire trucks to fires. Improved the time it takes for a fire signal to reach a fire station.
• Mission updates: Tuned Metals HQ and Community College missions. These were appearing too early, making them difficult to complete. They now appear later in a city’s development.
• Solar Farm Great Work: Reduced fire risk at the Solar Farm Great work. Local fire engines were spending too much time at the Solar Farm.
• Messaging: Improved pre-requisite messaging for Trade Port, Casinos, Smelting Factory and Oil Refinery. It should be clearer on how to unlock these buildings.
• Graphics: Fix for flickering low wealth buildings on NVIDIA graphics cards.
• Education: Fix for an issue some cities experienced where commuting students did not return from a neighbor’s city. This was causing a problem where students would disappear from a city in some cases.
• Tuning: Sims will lose a small amount of happiness if they don’t have a place to shop. Cities without places to shop will see complaints and feel the effect of unhappy Sims. This will emphasize the importance of commercial zones.

The garbage and recycling aren't physically in my gambling cities, but they are being sent to them from my "dirty" cities; Ore Mining cities and the like.  I don't care about the in game environment either lol, but the cranky high wealth turds seem to be appeased when I add recycling so I go with it.  With your high pop cities then you are aware that when you are dealing with a finicky Casino city and even more finicky high wealth tourists, they freak out at any sign of garbage or recycling not being picked up, and they will just leave.  Once they leave, it can be a real PITA to get them back.

That being said, the fluctuations and inconsistencies in the garbage pickup are making those cities impossible to play efficiently.  I ran them for a little while yesterday hoping they had normalized a bit, but not so much.  These are the rough numbers I saw with a 280k pop with 4 full garbage input and 2 recycling input over a few days, some new very strange things going on.

 Garbage                                                                                                                                                           Recycling

                           Need                             Pickup                                                                    Need                      Pickup

Day 1             4200                                  7800???                                                               78000??                     4000??

Day 2             4200                                  2600???                                                               72000??                     2000??

Day 3             4800                                  1800??                                                                  8000??                       800??

As you can see, except the need for garbage, the numbers are all over the place and really strange.  This is the first I have ever seen more garbage picked up than needed, and even when this occurred my city still registered completely full of garbage.  With high and medium wealth tourists leaving pissed off left and right.  I think something is FUBARed with the server we are on if you aren't having these issues.  Doesn't make sense the dramatic difference in play between players.

You know what I want more than new things and tweaks to the game? A working game. The bugs fixed. I just quit playing this game because it's broken.

They didn't sell us a beta, they honestly believed everything was working when launching the game.  You can expect another patch about every 1-2 weeks.  The game isn't completely broken, it just has a larger than normal amount of bugs in it that is pretty much on par with any other EA game released.  You can build cities and it still works even with the bugs, which most have work-arounds for.

If you honestly believe anything you have said I have a nice bridge I can sell you...
