[Update] SimCity - "Not yet released" issue

Hello all,

 

We are aware that some of you are experiencing issues with SimCity showing as "Not yet released" in Origin and the issue is under investigation.

 

We would ask you to try refreshing the Origin Games Library and logging out and back into Origin to see if the issue is resolved. If the issue remains, please post in this thread.

Hi everyone,

 

We are still investigating the SimCity ‘not yet released' issue which a small number of players are encountering. We have identified two possible reasons why you are not able to play SimCity: 

 

  1. The game is not released in your country yet:  Countries currently live are Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Russia, European Nations (except Ireland, United Kingdom), Australia, Japan.
  2. Your credit card payment might have failed to authorize or was unable to be charged: If you are in a region where the game has released, this is the most likely cause of your not being able to play the game. You should contact customer services directly via help.ea.com to resolve this. 

We have also identified a very small number of North American players for which neither case applies and are investigating directly with Origin to resolve. We will continue to post updates in this thread as more information becomes available.

Just a reminder for everyone in Europe: The game is not released there yet. Here the release dates for the different countries:

 

 Tuesday, 5th March 2013

  • North America
  • Canada
  • Mexico
  • Brazil
  • Singapore
  • Hong Kong
  • Korea
  • Taiwan
  • Thailand
  • Russia


Thursday, 7th March 2013

  • European Nations (except Ireland, United Kingdom)
  • Australia
  • Japan


Friday, 8th March, 2013

  • New Zealand
  • South Africa
  • India
  • United Kingdom
  • Ireland
  • Portugal
