As a reminder, this is what changed in Update 3.0:

 

• New: Added 24 new Hotel models to increase hotel variety. 
• Traffic: Updated routing system to improve traffic. Routing system now understands more information about u-turns, required vehicle stops, and vehicle behavior on certain road types. This should make traffic smarter. 
• Traffic: Commercial and industrial buildings stagger their work shifts to start throughout commute hours instead of at the top of the hour. This should reduce traffic. 
• Traffic: Fixes one issue where a car won't move causing traffic to back up behind it. 
• Traffic: Vehicles can now make right turns on Red. This should improve some cases of traffic. 
• Traffic: Trading polish that will improve regional traffic when one city has a lot of jobs and its neighboring city has a lot of workers. 
• Air Pollution: Fixed more issues where cities that placed air polluting buildings received large amounts of air pollution from unknown sources. 
• Service Vehicles: Fix for disappearing service vehicles on cities that whose vehicles had disappeared before update 2.
• School Buses: Fix for issue where school buses were getting stuck at neighbor's city or arcology. 
• Audio: Tuned audio on French Police Station. 
• Trading: Fixed issue where fire services were not trading consistently between Brakeman's Folly and Twain in Whitewater Valley. 
• Trading: Sewage trading: Sewage will now take a more direct route to regional sewage plant instead of throughout the city. 
• Trading: Made gifting more reliable. 
• Ferry Terminal: Ferry Terminal can now send its sewage to the output pipe and treatment plant. 
• RCI Tuning: Fixed issue where sims going to a park via transit would sometimes lose their money or happiness on the way home. 
• RCI Tuning: Bulldozing abandoned or rubble buildings will now prevent new developments for 6-12 hours. 
• RCI Tuning: Less Happiness is taken from wealth 2 and 3 buildings when rent is due when no money is present. 
• RCI Tuning: Fix for issue some users experienced where buildings would stay abandoned because moving trucks would not be able to move in. 
• Trees: Trees now last longer, but also do not eliminate as much ground pollution. 
• Radiation: Radiation causes less ground pollution than previously. 
• Transit: Changed thought bubble suggestion to add more trains to deal with crowded passenger trains to suggest that you add more train stations. 
• Transit: Improvements to lights to make rail look better at night. 
• Transit: Streetcar stops can now be placed directly on standalone streetcar tracks, and passengers can walk along the tracks to them. 
• Transit: Tuned the chance buses or streetcars will go to high-traffic stops first as a minor traffic improvement. 
• Roads: University pedestrian paths can now cross streets. 
• Manufacturing Trucks: Fixed issue some users experienced where manufacturing trucks left the city and were lost permanently. 
• Delivery Trucks: Fixed issue where some users would experience a loss of resources is their delivery trucks returned to garages without proper storage. 
• Sports Parks: Tuned the amount of skateboarders and neighborhood athletes at the sports parks. 
• Data Layers: Zones are now visible in heavy data layers. 
• Edit Mode: Added more valid snap points in edit mode. This improvement is most noticeable on Parks. 
• Buildings: Addressed some cases where buildings would stack on one another.

Recycle center is no longer working. Trucks return with full loads and don't drop it off

Issue (include screen shots or videos if it helps you explain what you are experiencing): Upon loading the game into full screen all I can see is the horizon ridge line from the title screen.  No menus, no buildings and just an occasional plane and helicopter passing by.  Waiting for a while and there is no change.

Now the game doesn`t run at all installed the new update and al i see now is the entering city screen.

I am getting really sick of this game already played 216 hours and it really feels like i wasted 216 hours of my life.

And all your news about updates i want freaking know when the update that makes my € 79.95 well spend.

When will you drop the so frustrating small building plots?!?!?!?!?

All the time you just stop playing out of pure frustation that all kinds of things don`t work and all building space is full and by looking around the plots there is room enough butt i can`t even buy that because you think my pc can`t do it weak exusses for not properly realeasing a game.

So if you guys now when i can play on really big maps and all things like recyling fire police sewage power and water problems let us know.

So i don`t have to constantly log in start a new city and end frustrated about the same issues over and over again.

I really want someone from Maxis to tell me the true release date and when does he think the game is ready?

 

My techniacal issue is that i think my system is really fast enough for bigger maps but i want you to tell me?

Issue:  My mouse cursor goes invicible in a couples of seconds/minutes as soon as i enter city

Thank you for adding additional details about tourist.  I still have a problem where only High Wealth toursit visit.  Not one Medium or Low ever come to the city.... EVER. 

 

 

/Also the additional details you added are great but what does it mean?   147/150 means what?  That I have room for 150 tourist but only 147 showed up? If so then why does the number not fluctuate when I add hotel space to my casino which is bankrupt because of no tourist.?

Ok - feedback on Update 3.0

 

Server: Europe West 4

I removed my local cache to force game to get back in line with server cache - hopefully it is still in line after playing again now - would be awesome to be able to 'verify cache' or something.

 

Education seems to work a lot better now - I did still have an issue where I had 5500 out of 6000 students enrolled, switched off grade school / high school to force more attendance to university and it drops to below 2000 students enrolled. I expect this and its right, but I have tons of capacity at my college and 2x varsities and had education level 4 before doing so - It is still not back to even 4500 out of 6000 students and my education level keeps dropping. Re-enabled schools and its stabilizing, but still far from 5500/6000 - its seems like they get angry and dont' want to go at all anymore.

 

Tourism is a LOT better - getting my best tourist attendances I have ever had as the game progresses - its not dropping off but actually improving.

 

Now I just hope once I reach another 1 million simoleons for a great works that the game doesn't steal my simoleons again - we already lost 2 million in this region trying to build one lousy arcology!

 

Still get frequent abandoned buildings, but I can live with it - personally when a home gets abandoned due to people being out of money, it usually gets sold in a city, not demolished - only in case of fire or lack of maintenance/age does it get demolished to get anyone new to move in.

 

Thanks for all the hard work guys - each patch is a step in the right direction - Really good to see the effort from the team and to get feedback here.

 

As a suggestion - even if you can't FIX the syncing issue, just give us a button that checks local cache files against server cache to warn you are playing on a non-updatable version. I suspect it may be due to having a limited time allowed for the game to sync before forcing a close - which might be an issue with our slow upload speeds in South Africa and other parts of the world.
