(Solved) Error Unable to Load City at This Time [ Edited ]

Hey all. I have been having this problem since I bought the game in December of 2013. The way I have solved this is to go to the Sim City folder under the Origin Games folder on your hard disk.  Navigate to the folder named LocalStorage and either delete the "game_localhost0..." , or rename the file to .old extension. When the game starts again, a new file will be created and you should be able to get back into your city. The path for my folder was C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\SimCity\SimCityUserData\WebStorage\LocalStorage. Let me know if this works for you.

Did this happen for all the cities you were unable to load or just one?

In any case, thanks for the suggestion, I'll make sure to bring it up if anybody has the same issue.

No this didn't help me.  On my computer that file was only 8Kb, I doubt it has any relationship to whether cities are able to load properly.

I have the same problem with one of my cities and have had this problem from a week or so.

The suggested solution here to remove that file did not solve my problem.
Every time i try to access the city i get "Unable to load the city at this time. Please try again".

I have been in contact with support for about 5 hours and talked to various people and supposed "specialists" and trying all kinds of different solutions but nothing has worked.
So it almost seems like the issue is on server side ?
An interesting note though is that i am able to vist the neightbouring cites and when i do and try to look at my city from their point in region view i only see empty space where my city is suppose to be.
However i can still see messages from my city such as abulance arriving to support neightbour city etc.

Server: Europe West 2
Region: Lake Side
City: Twin Peaks

Why is this marked "solved?"

On my city I can actually see it from the vantage point of other cities.  It still looks fantastic.  Man it was almost perfect.

I guess it's been a year since I last played it.

I can abandon it and reclaim it, but I can never open it.

(Oh I think the reason I can see it from other cities is because it is abandoned).
