SimCity wants my activation code when it's already been activated?

I've had SimCity on my computer for two years now (I double checked when I downloaded it by going into my files), so I've had it purchased for two years, I've played it randomly throughout the years, and today when I went to get on, it asked for a product code, saying it had never been activated before. All of my files show differently. I paid for it, don't really want to pay for it again. I got on the online chat with someone, explained my problem, then they asked for my email and ended the chat session!! No help there. Please someone help me out!!

Games on Origin don't need an activation code once you've installed them. The most likely reason you're experiencing this problem is that you logged in with a different email address than the one you used to register SimCity. That's probably why support asked for your email. You might have been accidenntally disconnected.

Try logging in with any other email addresses you have. If you still can't get in, I  would contact support again.
