SimCity keeps freezing (NOT BSOD or windows error)???

Happening to me as well. One city works fine with no freezing, the other freezes less than 1 minute after playing, happens every time. Still get sound and mouse but can't click on anything. Pretty disappointed that there is still this many bugs in the game.

I can play a city for hours on end without a single freeze. The minute I claim and load a second city, 5 minutes into the game, and it freezes for up to 8 minutes. The game hangs the computer completely and I need to hard shutdown, or wait for up to 8 minutes to get my game back. Then 5 minutes of gameplay, I''m waiting another 8minutes. Either way, I can't do anything but try to CTRL ALT DEL, or shutdown, or wait.

I can restart, get back to my original city, and guess what; no problems.

ITs impossible for me to play a second city.

Why aren't we getting frequent updates when the game is so badly flawed.

All I want is to play this game on my off time. It is relaxing etc. BUT the game keep freezing after about 5 mins of game play.  I have uninstalled deleted all reference under appdata and reinstalled.... it still freezes

If this doesn't get fixed i am going to do a charge back this is totally unacceptable with all the other crap i have been dealing with since this game came out. BTW i don't care if you ban my origins account  this is the only game i have because you forced that. You think i am going to purchase more games from your store after this crap.!!!??!!?!?! This game wasn't made by a 3rd party it was made by you EA

SimCity 5 v1.8 has created an application hang on mining cities with trade depot for inport/export goods. Have to terminate CimSity 5 process after game freeze. Please fix this issue & in the future DO NOT RELEASE PATCHES without thoroughly testing them!

I have been playing for a week. Had the issues of a city not loading and rollback.  Eventually I changed to a new server & region hoping it would fix those issues.

Well, they have stopped so far, but, no I am getting the freezing problem.  Sometimes I only last a few minutes.  FYI, it also looks like my recycling plant is not collecting anything.  Not sure if it is related or totally different.

How can one game have so many bugs?

Please keep us updated EA, this is terrible that there are so many posts and no word from you.

This crash bug must be due to the latest patch, as I've had to issues in over 50 hours of gameplay until this morning after the latest patch was applied.

I've been playing all evening, for about 3 hours now.. suddenly the game stopped responding...The update had been pushed this morning, so I can't imaging why now? The gametime is always AT 7:46 PM when it happens. When I kill the game, restart it, the changes I made aren't saved.

Is this an 1.8+ patch problem?? I don't want to start a new city, cause I'm playing with 4 friends...

I tried

- Reboot PC

- Reboot Router

- Not going into region view

- Admin rights

My system (i7 920 + GTX 660) has been running stable for 2 years now and no other game crashes.

When I visit a neighbour city, just before the game crash.. nothing is wrong. Upon return of my own city it's an immediate crash...

I tried loading the city, build a park, quit simcity. It shows me a error for a split second about not online to sync. Upon return the park is still there though, so it is saved! But something is definatly wrong!

The freeze is not related to the update at all. This starts occuring when you have to many operations occuring within the game. Try starting a new region and I guarantee it wont happen until you invest a substantial amount of time in the game. Poor programming by EA...
