Any chance for a Steam release ?

I didn't know where to post this so i figured here is the best chance to get an answer.

Since a lot of EA games have been released on Steam recently, I was wondering if there is any plan of a Steam version of Simcity ?

Hi @Borax_Kid - Nothing has been announced, but it would be really cool if that happened.

My first reaction was "I doubt it", since SimCity is a legacy game with no dev team, but in looking at the list they have available, SimCity 4 is on there, so I guess it's possible. I don't know any inside info and have no idea how they choose what they're making available, but I wonder if the online component is why SC 2015 is not there and SC4 is? The only other place you can get SC 2015 is through the Apple App Store, and that is only single player (offline). Maybe they would do something similar for Steam?

I guess the only thing we can do is wait and see what happens.
