No sound when I play SWTOR [ Edited ]

Every time I load up the game launcher I get a pop up that says Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Distributable. Whether I say yes or no to this pop up, my game has no sound and freezes when I plug headphones in. None of my other games or applications have this problem. Help?

as to headphones , plug them in before starting swtor changing sound device after the game is launched causes issues

edit - if you are saying you should have sound before plugging in headphones , once the game is running click the speaker icon and open the volume mixer , there will be a slider just for swtor when the game is running , make sure it isnt muted

I changed the name as the post suggested, but no dice. Also, yes, the sound is on. The game audio refuses to play through my monitor. I opened up other games, videos, and music. It all worked. It's just SWTOR.
