Great looking new launcher but still it's lacking the resolution scale for the UHD modes and it would be wonderful if the launcher had an options area to allow users to display it either small/medium/large with bigger resolutions.

Well it's a problem that has been on going for some time with the launcher not being able to scale with screen resolutions.

How is it a problem? Does it just display too small to see what's in there, or is it too big, too grainy.... ?

Maybe it is stupid, but how does the game run on that kind of mega resultions ? Unless you're running a Crossfire of the new Fury X cards, it should lag quite hard no ?

I play at 4k on a 65 inch TV. My setup is nothing special just a i7 4790k and a single gtx970. I run between 55-60 fps everywhere except for 16 man ops and warzones. I don't know many people that get 60 fps at 1920 x 1080 in warzones though so its not surprising 4k is any different.

OK, no pun intended, thought you needed an insane system to run in 4K.Then again, you don't really need AA sampling anymore, so that may help.

i5 4960k (no OC)
Sabertooth mk2 Z97
1600Mhz Ram
Geforce 960 FTW
SSD
Swtor Setting to Ultra 1920x1080
100fps in game ~40% usage
60-70 fps in wz ~40% usage

You just need a good CPU and a decent graphics card.
Any 900-Series Nvidia GTX card (950, 960, 970, 980, 980Ti, TitanX) will do, you can get a GTX 950 for below 200$. The GTX970 costs around 350$ and can play the game on medium to high settings on 4k.
The important thing is having an up-to-date Intel CPU (4th, 5th or 6th gen with 3.3GHz or higher). You can get an i5-4690K + Mainboard for around 300$.
Of course excluding operations and pvp.
