try using DDU https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html or uninstall the present 2017 intel driver and then use the new intel driver , it certainly lists for your cpu

I used that software but the only driver the system would find for the Intel is that 2017 driver, The Nvidia one is updated to the latest one,

@MadMordecai

The dxdiag is still showing for the 860m

D3D Status: Not Available

This is why the game is showing C7 on launch it requires D3D to run.

I have noticed the power options are set to balanced , it is best to be on high performance when trying to play

Current Setting: {651288E5-A7ED-4076-A96B-6CC62D848FE1} (Balanced)

 make sure the 860m is selected to be used for swtor too in the nvidia control panel.

not sure what the cause of the crash reports

P1: swtor.exe
P2: 1.0.0.0
P3: 5fdcb1e0
P4: KERNELBASE.dll

be sure there are no game overlays being injected on startup for example

After some trial and error it works fine when its on the laptop is running of of the power but when its running off of the battery thats when the c7 error message happens but it doesn't make a difference I plug in the laptop after it has been booted it still throws up the c7 message, it has to boot with the power on. I've included DxDiag files both on the power and on the battery.

@MadMordecai

The immediate difference is in the power options, on power it is on high performance , on battery it is on balanced.
