You can't go anywhere in this spot without dying and losing your xpt. he two ways up are the slopes that you slip down and you can't climb or jump anywhere. Maybe later you'll be able to get out but with what I have unlocked I can't. For reference I just got the blaster stance. This screenshot is the exact location on the map Xbox screen shot

@SouffleDalek  I believe you're supposed to be riding a Spamel when you're in that area.  If none are nearby, then you're stuck.  If you happen to be on PC, perhaps someone has made a mod that unlocks dev tools, which might allow you to fast travel or fly or something.  Other than that, I would guess you're out of luck, unfortunately.

Yeah I figured I came back to explore and found myself down there. Unfortunately I couldn't summon a spamel either so I ended up reloading (I'm on Xbox so no console commands) to keep my xp. Luckily I had just been to a meditation point so I didn't lose much. I mainly made this post to bring attention to this spot where you can't progress. (I would call it a soft lock but technically you can die to get out.) Hopefully it'll be fixed eventually but with all the problems I learned the game is having, I kind of doubt it'll be fixed any time soon if ever.
