Campaign Mission General Distress hangs on loading

★★★★ Novice

Hello everyone. I know that this topic has been discussed before (one post I saw was from 2019) but I wanted to see if anyone has a fix. In the campaign mode, the level General Distress absolutely refuses to load. Like it just...hangs. I once let it sit for about half an hour before giving up. Does anyone have a fix? or at the very least is there a community patch that fixes the issue? TIA

How much free space do you have on the drives where the game is saved?

You might try resetting your cache.

I am not aware of any community patches for SWBF2. All patches have come from EA/DICE.

I have it installed on my 12 TB hard drive (external) and I still have 8 TB left so it's not storage related. I've tried resetting my cache before but will reply with an update after I try again

Resetting the cache did nothing at all. On Mission select the level immediately after is playable, but has the same issue. so basically, every mission onward is unplayable which makes the campaign unbeatable. EA, people still play this and this bug is preventing us from playing it. Fix it already!

I suggest you post your platform, as the fix may be different based on what platform you're using.

If you're on PC, attach a DXDIAG report, as someone may spot something.
