Hi, after a long time I wanted to play SWBF2, the EA application was changed and now I could not run the game under any circumstances. 

I'm getting the warning: "You need a new app to open the com.epicgames.launcher link !!?"

I tried many solutions on the site but without success, the game does not work in task manager, cannot start at all.. Why is it so hard to play a game? Why can't f*cking EA do anything right?

I tried that. All it did was making the waiting a little longer. By the way, the GAME_DATA_DIR was back after the first attempt.

Same thing happened to me, I waited 2 years, before one day (a few days ago) I tried starting it up, Realized that I had to uninstall it from steam, and reistall it on Origin instead. It worked until I tried to join any match, both Singleplayer and Multiplayer, no matter what mode, it just won't work. Im still working on that part.
