Battlefront 2 not launching

My game won't launch. I have the game on steam and every time I launch it, it opens the EA app and then closes. I tried going into documents and deleting settings, nothing. I redownloaded the game twice which was a pain waiting for it, still nothing. I checked the game file integrity on steam, and it was all good but the game would still not run. I also have not played with mods before so mods cant be the issue. The game was running fine at first but after 1 hour of playing I can't even launch the game now. Any ideas on what I should do?

Uninstall the launchers - EA app, Steam and Origin, if you still have that installed. Reinstall Steam and EA app.

Make sure you are using the correct Steam account when launching from Steam.

I purchased the game directly from EA on PC, and since being upgraded to EA App, SWBF2 would fail to launch.

Today my cousin, who is a PC engineer, worked out where the problem is. We opened the EA App on my PC using a different local Windows User Account, and then tried starting SWBF2, and it launched and ran with no problems at all. When we switched back to my Windows User Account, the non-launch problem persisted, and still is at time of printing.

As such it would appear that the non--launch issue is caused by corruption somewhere in the Windows User Profile files. We could not work out where, but at least it narrows down the problem.

3_ Install again de EA app
4_ with "admin permission" open "App Recovery"
5_ with "admin permission" EAupdater

I'm experiencing a similar thing, bought the game on Origin, upgraded through Epic Games, and now everything has migrated to EA app and I haven't been able to run the game for months

Hi. I found this solution on the web if you are still having this issue.

"If you used Frosty mod manager before you might want to check your Environement variables. just click start menu and type Environement vaiables. click on environment variables on the bottom right. abd see if you have GAME_DATA_DIR on it. remove it and restart you PC. this worked for me."

For me personally, deleting and reinstalling the EA launcher worked. At first the game ran fine but then just began to not launch, I don't know what caused it but for those experiencing the same thing you can try what I did.

I have reinstalled the launcher 3 times, and the game once, and everytime it still says that an error on their end caused it to fail, which is funny cause my other EA games are working fine, Its only this game that is having this error.
