Java and Flash support in Internet browsers
Make sure you are using a Java and Flash compatible browser.

You may know that you need the latest versions of Java and Flash to play Pogo games but you may not know that not all internet browsers are compatible with Java and Flash. At this we recommend using Internet Explorer 11; however, you can also use Firefox (Windows or Mac) or Safari (Mac).

You can also review Pogo's system requirements for more information.

Internet Explorer 11

Download IE 11 now.

We recommend using Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) for the best gameplay experience with Pogo games. IE11 is compatible with both Java and Flash.

Please note that IE9 and IE10 are no longer support browsers.

Microsoft no longer supports Windows XP and Windows Vista so these operating systems will not be updated to support the latest versions of Internet Explorer. If you have Windows XP or Windows Vista, we recommend using the Firefox browser.

Firefox

Download Firefox now.

Flash

Windows XP and Windows Vista users can play Pogo games using Firefox since these operating systems do not support the latest Internet Explorer browser. Firefox is compatible with Flash.

Mac users can also choose to use Firefox.

Java

In March 2017, Firefox versions 52 and higher stopped supporting Java. Visit our Java page to see what games are affected. Firefox does not currently have a workaround for this problem.

You can keep playing games that use Java with a different browser, like Internet Explorer 11.

Download Internet Explorer 11.

Safari

Download Safari now.

Safari is the default browser for the Mac operating system. Safari is compatible with both Java and Flash.

Chrome

Flash

Chrome supports Flash, but starting with Chrome version 55, it will be automatically disabled after an update.

When you try to play a Flash game on Pogo, we'll give you an alert telling you to, "Click to enable Adobe Flash Player." Make sure to click the text, not the puzzle piece icon. Want to know more? Check out our article on enabling Flash for your internet browser.

Java

Java stopped working on Google Chrome browsers in version 42, but it does still support Flash. You can use the Flash and Java game lists to see if you can play your game on Chrome. If the game you want to play is on the Java games list, you will need to use one of the recommended browsers.
