Service Update: Recent Game Retirements

Community Manager (retired)

If you’re wondering where some older Pogo titles went, we recently retired a batch of games built in Java, a technology that is no longer supported by the major web browsers. Because it is difficult for many players to even access these games, it was simply no longer feasible for us to continue supporting them.

These are the most recent games retired:

  • Jacks or Better Poker
  • Boardwalk Sea Ball
  • Checkers
  • Jokers Wild Poker
  • Texas Hold’em Poker
  • Hearts
  • Cribbage
  • Sci Fi Slots
  • Showbiz Slots II
  • Sudoku Puzzle Blast
  • PoppaZoppa
  • Mini Golf Madness
  • Wonderland Memories
  • Keno
  • Sock Hop Slots
  • Panda Pai Gow Poker
  • Balloon bounce
  • Greenback Bayou
  • Flower Daze
  • Harvest Mania
  • Ride the Tide
  • Word Craft
  • Swashbucks
  • Blooop
  • All-Star Football

If you enjoyed these games, we have many similar titles available on Pogo, including card games, puzzle games, casino games and more.  Take a look around – you’re sure to find something fun!

As always, we continue updating our most popular games to HTML5, a newer and more accessible technology. We’ve already updated over two dozen games and introduced several new titles. Best of all, we’ve got more on the way!

We know it’s no fun to see any games leave Pogo. Some of these retired games may be updated in the future or replaced with brand-new games offering similar gameplay. Visit the Pogo Insider for the latest news on past, present and future Pogo games.

Thanks again for playing on Pogo. We appreciate your understanding!

Hey there, @tesstan1.

The great thing about upgrading to HTML5 is that some of our favorites made in the deprecated code could make a return in the future. It's not possible to keep the Java or Flash versions, but we're going to continue to add HTML5 versions of games going forward. Please keep an eye out on the Pogo Insider Blog for which games are coming out next.
