Hi letdogin! Since you've installed a new Java, you also have to add your new exceptions.
Your configurations & settings don't remain & switch over to the new Java version, unfortunately.
Java automatically sets security to "High" so if you're unable to run applets,
go to Start > Java > Java Control Panel > Security > Exception Site List
Click on the "Edit Site List" button & add these following 3 Pogo addresses (URLs).
(This means you'll be going to "whitelist" Pogo & allow it to have permission so as not to
be blocked by Java security.)
http://www.pogo.com
http://www.game3.pogo.com
http://www.pogospike-prod.pogo.com
+++ NB: If you don't see the Java icon in your Windows Start Control Panel,
click on "Switch to Classic View".+++
Pogo is a trusted site. If you get a Java security warning pop-up as you're adding these exceptions, referring to HTTP protocol, you still may hit "Continue" in order to proceed
& not feel at risk from Pogo.
Keep adding & continuing. When you've finished entering URLs, click the "OK" button.
Next, you should land on the Java security page. Have a look to ensure that the 3 URLs
that you've just entered are displayed correctly there. Success! Well done! Still looking
at this security page, does it show a check mark right beside "Enable Java content in the browser is enabled."? Good !
In addition, you may have to configure your malware/proxy/firewall/AntiVirus applications
in order to allow the Java applets to execute. If you're not able to run applets, this could be
a reason.
Please run this test to see if your Java is working now: Java test applet
+++ You may need to close & re-launch your browser in order for the changes
to take effect. +++
