Game not linking to correct accounts

Every time we try to play the game, it loads different amount of coins, gems, candy, etc. Making it impossible to play. We have the correct progress and are able to open our account, but at the same time it’s linking it with a different account giving us endless amounts of coins, gems, gloves, etc or next time we log in none at all.
It’s impossible to play the game this way, since we are unable to upgrade our plants, etc. And we’ve been playing for years! How can we fix this problem so we can enjoy it again!?

You may want to try resetting your login details, it sounds like people have access to your account that shouldn't.
We (my husband and 2 kids) have 4 different players, within the same game. But the game links it also to an external account and that’s when we have the different amounts of coins, candy, etc. It happened after my husband got a new phone.
Do you still have the old phone? If you log in on that does the same issue occur?
You mention the game linking to an external account, can you elaborate on this? Do you have the option to sign out of this account?
