Frenzy working as intended?

I just finished a game that I barely won on a lucky super power power pull and something happened that does not seem correct.

I played a Banana Split in the middle lane. It was my only card strong enough to attempt to take out Smash's Interstellar Bounty Hunter on a wide open board. He then Galvanized it So it took the 4 hit leaving it with 6/2, switched lanes to the last ground lane following the half banana, and then killed the Banana and hit me twice for a total of 12 damage.

That cannot be right.
