@dunu21Can you check that you have followed the steps below?

https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/how-to-use-origin-in-game/

How do I turn on Origin In-Game?

Enable Origin In-Game and get the most out of your gaming experience:

  1. Open the Origin client and log into your EA Account.
  2. Click the Origin menu and select Application Settings.
  3. Click the Origin In-Game tab.
  4. Toggle the On/Off switch to turn Origin In-Game on or off.

Here’s where you can also change any other Origin In-Game settings you’d like.

Awesome. Now how do I use Origin In-Game?

If you're in the middle of a game, hold the Shift key and press F1 to access Origin In-Game. You can change the keyboard shortcut from Shift+F1 to something else in the Origin In-Game settings.

Choose the feature you want by pressing its icon at the bottom of the screen.

You have to change your current resolution to a higher one in order for Origin overlay to work. I think the minimum resolution you need is 1366x768, but it varies on the monitor you are using. Check to see if this is the problem.

This was resolved with a specific change.  I have AVG anti-virus program running, and specifically the detection of malicious system behavior was preventing the Origin In Game overlay from appearing in plants vs zombies 2.  Turning off this specific shield/feature of AVG allowed the game to run.  In order to remain protected and play the game, I added the plants versus zombies 2 .exe to the list of exceptions in AVG for programs that can run without being restricted by AVG.  After making this one change, the Origin In Game works perfectly. GLHF kthx.
