plants vs zombies 2 sun producers

Please, can somebody help?  on BIG WAVE BEACH Day 28, I play for a few minutes then the sun producers stop producing sun and I am unable to complete it as I cannot get enough to buy the bigger weapons to use on the zombies. I think it may be a bug?

I've been in touch with EA support but all they do is tell me they are passing it on to the game developers. How do I know if they will even look at it, It's so frustrating. Any help would be great, please.

Other players have reported this as well, if you have it i suggest you use goldbloom.

Use Plant Food for the SUN plants

Or try doing this level without sun plant.... 

(this might be a very tough challenge, I may give this a go when snap pea Battlez is over)

Use sun plants boosted by the zen garden, they should give a big burst of sun🌞 on planting, dig it up and collect the sun🌞 to maximise sun🌞.
