Using Plantfood to activate a plant ASAP

Anyone else not able to use Plantfood to activate a plant ASAP ?

I have had this issue since around the time that BattleZ was introduced but have never spoken up until now

You put your finger on the leaf and DRAG it onto the plant you want to instantly recharge.

Don't tap the leaf🍃, that doesn't work, drag it.
